This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 10, 2007:
Not to give a @#!@!!# about what anyone else thinks. That the only thing that matters is how I feeeeeeeeeel.
I spent my whole life worrying about what other people thought. What a waste of energy! I've just learned within the last couple of years from the teachings of Abraham not to give a rip about what anyone else thinks. But I know now and it's made a huge difference in my life.

Help

It is extremely difficult to pick just one. If I have to pick one it would be: to have learned to love myself at the earliest age possible.
Had I not learned that so much later in life, my life would have been altogether different. Loving yourself is the key to your life choices.
And yes, maybe I was meant to go through what I did to arrive where I am.
But, I taught my children that and I see such a difference in their lives as a result. At a very young age, they were able to go after what they wanted with confidence, neither cared much for what others thought of them, they were & are their own peson, they don't let anyone use them for a doormat and they KNOW they will succeed in whatever they go after. Their relationships with people they date are entirely different than my experiences, to say they were not good is a gross understatement.
But, as “they” say, it's impossible to regret your past when you have children.
I have always kept a daily journal and part of what I write are all the lessons I wished I had learned so, when my children are reading them, (I hope a long time from now) they can integrate them into their own lives and pass them down to their children.

“…the only thing that matters is how I feel.”
Certainly is, where you are concerned. And good for you for breaking out!
(It does, though, just a little, make it sound as though you don’t care about how anyone else might feel - not think…feel…you know what I’m saying? I know you didn’t mean it to.)
Warmly,
Victoria

Hey Aley!!!
PK, It's great that you teach your kids to love themselves. I'm wondering if you meant to post your own response and not add a comment to mine? But I enjoyed your comment! :)
Victoria,
(It does, though, just a little, make it sound as though you don't care about how anyone else might feel - not think…feel…you know what I'm saying? I know you didn't mean it to.)
I did type 'think'. So there is no mistake there. Now, my old self, the one that would worry about what others would think, would say. 'Oh! maybe I should change the wording so that the other person feels better.'
My now self will say, I can't take responsibility for how others feel. I can't change how I feel for them. How they behave or feel does not affect how I feel. And I wont lower my vibration for someone else. That doesn't mean that I don't care. Quite the contrary! But I care more about my own vibration.
Never let any person, place or thing steal your joy.
Thanks so much for your comment!
Thought so…just checkin'.
Thanks for a concise and clear response.
PS (Nobody can steal my joy…I give it away.)
