What was the greatest spiritual challenge of your life?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 09, 2007:
Getting past the belief that I had to be religious in order to be spiritual. I'm learning that they are two very different things. I was actually told by one of the 'elders' in my church that I wasn't spiritual enough. That was very hurtful to me. I left that church and I'm more spiritual now than I ever have been.

…. thinking religion and spirituality may have nothing in common in the end… one man made, the other from the heavens…..
