Sex Noises During a Massage!

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by Flowerchild : Girl On A Journey Flowerchild
As a massage therapist, I wonder what I would do if I had someone on the table and they started making sex noises? LOL It's never happened to me. Some has fallen asleep before. I take that as the ultimate complement.

I loved the Friends TV show and I miss it. Nothing can compare to it. This was one of my favorite episodes.

TOW The Secret Closet 1 - Chandler/Monica scenes

Here's the rest of the closet/massage part. I love what Phoebe does!

I'm getting ready to open my massage office within the next couple of weeks. I'm still waiting on the license, the state seems to like to take their sweet time LOL And I've been studying for the National Exam like a mad woman.

I'll have some pictures of the office up soon. I just got my sign up on the outside and my phone is up and my DSL is working!!! It's all coming together! I'm figuring out my software that I'll be using. And I hired 2 other massage therapists.

What would I do if someone started making sex noises? Has that ever really happened?

Hi Flowerchild. I found this blog post and given that I have just attended a conference of sexological bodyworkers and conventional sex therapists, I find it a challenging question. I am not watching the clip cause I am in a public place with my laptop, but I take it the sitcom used it as a comedy skit. when you say sex noises, you mean someone having a vocal orgasmic response to the deep relaxation and touch provided by a conventional massage.

I know your license and ethics forbids sexual contact or any think else sexual. Only California certifies people in hands on erotic massage for healing purposes.

I do not do massage of any kind, but you'd have two choices. Stop the massage and leave the client, because you didn't want to deal with it. Or direct the energy through breath. When the body is touched, and emotions held deep in the cells and tissues are released, there are no rules about how the energy will move out. It is not a bad thing. But it puts conventionally licensed and practicing body workers into a situation they have not been trained for.

And it may leave a client in a vulnerable, embarrassed and unresolved situation. Unhealed.

What would your teachers at Massage school do?

That's a good idea to have them breath through it. I agree that the noises can be healing and there is a time and place for that. Tanta ritual is one place that would be perfect for the vocal release. Bringing the vocal vibration down to the second chakra.
I would personally talk with the client and maybe refer them to a tantra teacher. There is an excellent one in Chicago. Nothing to be embarrassed about at all.
The only way I would stop the massage and leave the client is if they made sexual advances after being warned. “this is a professional massage, would you like me to continue” and if it happens again, then I would stop the massage and leave the client. I have a very strict policy and all clients have to sign.

good idea to refer to a Tantra teacher if it is apparent the client needs that kind of work. I am going to ask you privatle about that.. stay tuned.
